pretty darn yellow

i heard something super innocent and cute today at work...

i was in the bathroom, and a father had his son in there.

he was helping him use the bathroom, and the little boy was making sound effects...

sound effects to his bathroom usage, as if anyone needs it, right?
well it gets better...

after the little one was done, his father told him to wait while he use the bathroom next...

as he waited, i heard him say, "prrreeeeetttttyyyyyy."

hahaha

"pretty darn yellow!" "and a pretty color yellow too!" (all said in a cute little children's voice)

he found beauty in what we would regard as waste...

pretty yellow....

either this kid really liked the color yellow, or maybe he was just so innocent that he was able to find  something neat, in something not very neat.

besides his height, he had a different point of view as he looked at yellow water...

i hope no one finds this posting too awkward or offensive, but i can't help but to smile at this experience.

it's amazing how God can cause our mouths to stretch across from ear to ear with a great big grin,        it doesn't matter where we are either.

i pray that you will find joy in a place you have never experienced it before and that God would stretch your imagination with innocence. i also pray that your heart would be at peace and filled with overwhelming memoirs of how God has blessed you recently...
In Jesus' name, amen!

...a pretty color yellow too.......!

planless

be open for change

nothing is certain

take everyday as it comes

don't waste your time worrying or feeling sorry for yourself

live life!

and

praise and thank God all the time

never ceasing

these words were spoken to my heart a while back, but continue to stand true and show themselves as needed in order to live a life for God...

in a way...       they may lead to freedom.

Father, make me part of Your plan.

amen!

matters

for the longest time, and still quite frequently, i find myself feeling like i have to do something to earn grace or approval from my Father...
i know i'm not the only one who feels this way.
it sickens me...
but reminds me that i still need a lot of work.
however, the short and small times that i do comprehend my Daddy's love for me,

it's real...
i fell like i'm in a rain storm being soaked by His favor, gasping for air and dripping with joy!

there is something about the way the sun shines in the evening... i mean, the way the light falls on a neighborhood...    across a field...        or over a vast array of mountains covered in a mixture of pines
evergreens
and snow...

snow in itself is amazing. many say it is a bother or dreadful...

no way...

the joy of a snow day...   seeing the way it blows around in the light of a street lamp...
watching it slowly cover everything...

i really like when i'm stuck somewhere because the roads are too dangerous to drive on. and the intensity of trying to go outside to see for myself, just to make sure i'm not dreaming. then... going back inside and knowing there is nothing i can do, but enjoy it. i really like it when the company i am with consists of at least one person i would pick to be stuck somewhere with for more than a few hours... or days...!
the snow day can really either be a huge blessing, or heck on a stick!
it may cause you to stop working, and rest.. interact with others who otherwise you would avoid... or give you a dang good reason to make something yummy, and eat as much of it as you want!!!

rest is good.

recharging is good.

trusting God is good.

and i'm thankful for all of them. i need all of them. it proves difficult to trust without the ability to rest and recharge.
it has been a busy season in life...     i think the snow has given me a reason to rethink some things, some matters, and test what i thought was so clear. it's a good thing to do, to take a step back from ones self, and think...   speak...    and listen....      to pray.

Father, thank You for the desires You have placed in our hearts. thank You for the wisdom and freewill You give us...   and most of all, thank You for Your gift of grace and salvation You freely give us as we trust You! i praise You for all that You are! You are good! everything You do is good. everything You have made is good and for the joy of Your creation. so we praise You!
thank You for Your love!  in Your Sons name, let it be!

for by this you shall be saved, worship.

worship.
