well..
the holidays are over and kathy is back working away. i am sitting at home, pondering whether i clean, take out the trash, learn spanish or cook lunch.
to be completely honest, i don't want to do any of those things... maybe read... maybe call someone. feeling rather lonely right now, my heart is really aching for india.
on dec. 16 there was a really nasty crime that ended in a 23yr india girl dying and 6 being arrested for rape/murder. i just learned about this yesterday night and am still trying to work through things in my head. apparently it has caused a rather large uproar in india, sparking protest for women rights in the land that allows most things to happen to women and children without lifting a finger.
one person put it like this: all eyes are on india to see what they will do to act against this horrible crime.
what is india going to do?
what are we going to do?
what can we do?
all i can do is pray.
and maybe that is the only real thing that any of us can do.
obviously i would love to go back and take an iron bar to the six and anyone else who let this just happen.
there is that deep real ache for justice regardless of who is was done to.
and if we want this... doesn't God want it more?
i remember reading in the bible some time back about a similar thing happening.
judges 19.
it sparked something big.
it ended in war.
i pray for justice. not manly justice but that of the Lord.
Please God, bring justice in india. bring justice to what has happened, to what happens.
not just in india but everywhere.
this is far from over!
this is real.
